What the AI features can and can't do

Oravo's AI features are optional, they run on a provider you choose, and — like all generative AI — they can be wrong. This page says exactly how.

AI-assisted features

Some Oravo features use artificial intelligence services selected by the user.

AI-generated or AI-modified content may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, or inappropriate for your particular situation.

Always review AI-generated content before sending, publishing, submitting, signing, or relying on it.

Oravo and Oosan Studios, LLC do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of AI-generated content.

Oravo does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, accounting, investment, real estate, or other professional advice.

When you connect a third-party AI provider, information necessary to perform your request may be transmitted to that provider and will be subject to the provider's terms, privacy practices, retention policies, and other applicable policies.

Machine translation notice

Translations generated through Oravo may be created using automated or artificial-intelligence technology.

Machine translation can contain errors, omissions, contextual mistakes, formatting differences, or unintended changes in meaning.

Oravo translations are not certified translations and are not a substitute for a qualified professional translator when accuracy is critical.

Do not rely solely on Oravo translations for legal proceedings, medical decisions, financial transactions, immigration matters, contracts, governmental filings, or other high-stakes purposes.

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying translations before relying on, publishing, signing, or sending them.

Dictation & transcription

Speech recognition and transcription are not guaranteed to be error-free.

Names, numbers, dates, technical terminology, punctuation, commands, and similar information may be transcribed incorrectly.

Review important dictated content before sending, publishing, submitting, signing, or relying upon it.

Third-party AI providers

When you connect Oravo to a supported third-party AI provider, information necessary to perform the requested feature may be sent to that provider. Depending on the feature, this may include transcribed text, prompts, context, or audio.

Your use of the provider is subject to its terms, privacy policy, data-retention practices, and account settings. Oosan Studios does not control how independent third-party providers operate their services.

The providers Oravo can be configured to use are Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI (Grok), and Perplexity. Oravo can also be pointed at a local Ollama installation, which does not send your text off your Mac.

Sensitive information

Before using connected AI or cloud-based features with confidential, privileged, regulated, proprietary, or sensitive information, confirm that your selected provider and account configuration meet your privacy, security, professional, and legal requirements.
