← Oravo Terms of Service

The agreement, in plain words

What you're buying, what we promise, and what we don't.

Last updated 31 July 2026

1. This agreement

These terms are between you and Oosan Studios (“we”, “us”), the maker of Oravo. By downloading, installing, or using Oravo, you agree to them. If you don't, don't use the app.

2. What you get

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Oravo on Macs you own or control.

You may not resell, sublicense, or share your license key, or attempt to circumvent licensing. We may deactivate a key we can show is being shared or used fraudulently.

We own Oravo and everything in it. You own everything you dictate — we claim no rights over your content whatsoever.

3. Payment, renewal, and cancellation

Lemon Squeezy is our merchant of record: they are the seller for your purchase, and they handle payment, invoicing, and any applicable sales tax or VAT. Their terms also apply to the transaction itself.

4. Refunds

Because you can use Oravo's dictation free for as long as you like, and Pro includes a free trial, we don't operate a general refund window — cancel any time and you won't be charged again.

That said, if something goes wrong — the app doesn't work on your Mac, you were double-charged, or you bought by mistake — email hello@oravo.app and we'll sort it out. Refunds are issued through Lemon Squeezy.

Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law where you live, including any statutory right to cancel a recent purchase.

5. AI features and your own API key

Oravo's AI features run on your own account with an AI provider, using a key you supply. That means:

6. Using Oravo responsibly

Don't use Oravo to break the law, to record people without the consent your jurisdiction requires, or to infringe anyone's rights. Recording laws vary by state and country and are your responsibility.

Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app except where the law says you may.

7. Updates and changes to the app

Oravo can check for and install updates. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we ever have to remove something significant that you paid for, we'll tell you and do right by you.

8. Warranty disclaimer

Oravo is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that transcription will be accurate, that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will suit any particular purpose. Speech recognition makes mistakes — check anything that matters before you rely on it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of Oravo. Our total liability for any claim relating to Oravo will not exceed the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.

Some places don't allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Ending this agreement

You may stop using Oravo and delete it at any time. We may suspend or end your license if you materially breach these terms — for example, by sharing keys or circumventing licensing. Sections 8, 9, and 11 survive.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll update the date above and note it in the app's release notes. Continuing to use Oravo after that means you accept the new version.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here overrides mandatory consumer protections in your own country.
